Guess we need to give him a break. He is only 12 years old…and that might be pushing it.

I watched most of that game and it was indeed a snooozer. 20 penalties. hard to believe Auburn can't find a more dynamic QB. I think he liked getting sacked.

Woah, it seems like I touched a nerve. If you watched that game and thought it was "exciting" I don't know what to tell you. I'm not saying Aggie's brand of football is boring, it sounds like the Notre Dame game was thrilling, but since the Red Raiders had an off week, it's one of my few opportunities to see the Aggies play and this particular game was yawn-inducing. I don't "hate" the Aggies and agree that there is no traditional rivalry between A&M and Tech other than the brief moment during the Leach tenure, competing annually in the SWC and BigXII for many years, and both being state of Texas schools.

What I do find incredibly funny is when I log on here and not only do Aggies say their athletic program is superior to Tech's, it's also said without an ounce of irony.

As for the 12-0 IQ quip, I'll let you know not only did I pass my IQ test, I got a B+! (89)

Kinda bored tonight so I went over to the Learfield site to compare results between the two ADs (as I was genuinely curious). A&M typically places 20 spots ahead of Tech every year since 1994, with 13 being the closest and 78 being the farthest. So, by Learfield's standards, A&M's AD is superior. As such, even a mg of irony would be too much.

I feel there used to be a rivalry between TAMU and TTU. It was a heated one and pretty even. I know we didn't like to admit there was a rivalry, but if you absolutely despise losing to a particular team, that team is a rival. Prior to 2012, it made sense for Raiders to come here and talk smack because we played each other every year. But that's all gone now. We have new opponents and you have new opponents. That you can't quit us is kinda sad.

Based on what I've seen on this board, none of y'all can talk about old rivalries. It's just a lot of lame talk about what former opponents have done lately. If you want to reminisce about the days when we all played each other then do so.

As for what you can and can't do, I don't get to decide that. I'm just trying to help y'all kick the Aggie habit. It's clear you've become dependent on Aggie validation. Y'all are undefeated and the highest ranked team in your conference. You should be on your actual opponents' sites giving them what for. To be on an Aggie site when you have so much Big12 momentum is truly sad. It's as though Tech's accomplishments aren't real until an Aggie knows about them.

Maybe I'm wrong about all of this, though. I hadn't really considered that y'all might be pariahs in your own community and are here seeking refuge. That would explain why you're so hesitant to leave. Blink twice if you've been shunned by Inside Texas Tech ?
