Why all the TV ads with t.u.?

What am I missing on the customer target audience? I've seen Bud Light ads (how appropriate) with all sips. I've seen Allstate with their castrated mascot (kinda funny tho). Just saw a Super Beets ad with their coach and all the others in the ad wearing t.u. logo clothes.

I don't recall ever seeing an ad targeting general public yet promoting only one school

Those ads were developed in the offseason when sip was getting tons of love. 5th Avenue expected sip to live up to the hype. Had they done so, the ads would have been much more impactful. Since they failed to live up to the hype, the ads look a little out of place.

Honestly, it has to be stupid advertising executives who know nothing about college football thinking " oh a big brand will have mass appeal" Like the NFL. Not understanding that college football fans hate each other more irrationally than any other sport. Except for maybe international soccer.

Not that I ever did, but I certainly will never purchase any Bud Light or ever talk to anyone from Allstate ever again the rest of my life.

It reminds me of the idiot that put Ashley Simpson as the halftime performer for the national championship of college football and she was booed the entire time. College football fans are different than Joe public

I wouldn't mind them if they weren't so cringe. The Bud Light disaster looks like a glee club having their first beer at their first football game.

The UGA office conference room barker is ultra cringe, too.

Even nut squeezing corps scenes are less embarrassing than the stuff Modelo, Twisted Tea and others trot out there with actors that look nothing like college football fans.

At least Fansville can be funny......sometimes.

Simpson's performance was almost as bad as OU's performance.

It would take three grown-ass gorillas holding me down to force a Bud Light in my gullet, which makes me happy that UT is a brand sponsor for them.

Allstate has no chance of ever earning my business after these Longhorn campaigns. They end their commercials with "Hook em!". I end my insurance shopping with "**** you."

They don't get any exposure on the field, so they aim to drive business away from companies they don't like.
