No you can't just throw money at it. You have to get the right players which is why the GM Chambless and his staff are key. Also you can't rely on the portal only and have to recruit which the have now started to do getting 4 and 5 star linemen. And you need the top facilities which they continue to invest in

Still doesn't guarantee anything but they are not just throwing money there is a plan. We will see how the do in the portal opening tomorrow and if they can improve on this years good season next year

I sort of agree. Throwing money around at players in the portal and piecing together coordinators to mask head coaching issues will bite them.

However….Tech has a brutal schedule next year. It is a Big 12 schedule. Tough.

It's purely a pissing contest. Big 12 is 1-8 in the playoffs. If OU couldn't win coming out of that conference, Tceh sure as **** won't. And it's really easy to see why - playing a full season of cupcakes doesn't prepare a team for the CFP. Not opinion, the Big 12's record shows it to be true.

To be fair, Tech did win their out-of-conference games against powerhouses, Arkansas Pine Bluff, Kent State, and Oregon State.

A weak schedule can hide a lot of deficiencies.

So you'll be the Temu version of Oregon. As long as the CFP keeps granting a free pass to the Big XII champion, Tceh will have a legit shot to make it because that conference is so weak. But like OU before you, Tceh will continue to have its **** pushed in by legit teams. At some point, the CFP is going to reevaluate the Big XII and likely knock it down to G5 status. That 1-8 record is brutal.

You lost to Florida, squeaked by Kentucky because their coach apparently had an aneurism in OT, and needed one of the all time choke jobs to squeak by Clanga and then your coach bled all over the country demanding a playoff appearance like Will Ferrell screaming about driving a Dodge Stratus. Then you capped off your shock the nation tour by beating a team whose coach is incarcerated. Congrats numbnuts.

Wait a minute….I was told that the horns loss against Ohio State was the best loss imaginable because Ohio State was the best team ever and was going to have a cake walk to back to back titles.
