He would need to be beginner friendly, I am terrible.

what part of town are you in?

For a beginner, I might look for a GolfTec that's convenient to you. It's not "cheap" but their lesson + practice packages are on sale right now. They sort of have a canned swing they work with, but it's good enough to get you started. With the practice sessions, you can practice indoors, mostly on your schedule, with real-time video playback.

I like Golf-tec as well. I'm much more a visual learner than listening to coach telling me what I'm doing wrong but I cannot see it. Maybe it's from years and years of watching golf, so I sort of know what a swing should look like.

I have been told the woman that does lessons at my club is outstanding - I've yet to use her but feel like I might pull the trigger on some short game lessons with her. She's in the LPGA hall of fame as an instructor. Deb Vangellow
