Not necessarily the group consensus.

1. Wolf Creek. Wouldn't want to play there on a regular basis, and don't need to play it again. But it was such a unique experience that I put it here. Very good condition.
2. Copper Rock. Most of the group's favorite. Fair but challenging. Also in very good condition, although the starter did kind of oversell the greens. Said they were the best we would play on our trip, but we didn't think so.
3 & 4. Kind of a tie between Sky Mountain and Coral Canyon. Both in very good condition. Sky Mountain had more of a muni feel, but the course was plenty challenging. As we drove in we were prepared to be a little underwhelmed, but were pleasantly surprised. Coral Canyon was also in great condition. But just compared to the others, and considering the fact we played it in very tough weather conditions, we probably didn't get a fair look at it.

Went with a group to this area last Thur-Sunday. I can't recommend this St. George trip enough to others. Better hurry as people are starting to find out about it and courses will probably start raising their prices. We played six courses in four days which tired this old guy out.

Day 1- flew into Vegas and played Coyote Springs which is an hour north of the Strip. This is a Jack Nicklaus designed course in the middle of nowhere. Had always wanted to play it since I had played Wolf Creek before. I already knew it was going to be a challenging course with fast/undulating greens and deep bunkers in all of the fairways, but add in a 20-25 mph wind and it kicked our group's tails. This was a one and done course for me.

Day 2- Morning- The Ledges. Afternoon- Coral Canyon
Day 3- Morning- Sky Mountain. Afternoon- Copper Rock
Day 4- Serket (formerly Rio Secco - Las Vegas), Flew home.

- The Ledges- this was our group's unanimous favorite due to the course conditions, staff, views, and overall value for the money.

- Coral Canyon- fun course if you like elevation changes etc and would recommend on anyone's playlist in the area.

- Sky Mountain- Definitely a muni feel, but it had the best views of the trip. $88 seemed cheap for the overall value/experience. Playlist for sure.

- Copper Rock- was probably our group's biggest disappointment. For $275, I expect to see the cart girl at least once on the front nine. Staff was meh. Greens were extremely firm and approach shots would land on the green and roll all the way to the back or off the green. Reminded me of Scotland links golf where you have to land the ball in front of green and let it roll on. I would probably like to play it again by itself instead of the two day 36 hole heater we were on. Would still recommend it as it had a cool layout.

- Serket- fun layout and great views of the Strip. They had a couple of fairways under repair, but wasn't a big deal. Would definitely recommend.

Other Courses in St. George we missed

- Sand Hollow- tee times were already booked when we planned our trip. A must play.
- Black Desert- guys in airport said it was awesome. You are required to have a four caddy.
- Entrada at Snow Canyon CC- private, but guys at airport got on by staying a night onsite. Another very nice course similar to Black Desert with the black lava rocks around the course.

Last thing regarding St. George: We were surprised that most of the restaurants closed at 9pm even on Fridays and Saturdays.

Just came back a week and half ago from a 12 man trip to St George. Played Wolf Creek first day, Sand Hollow second, and Copper Rock third.

We all pretty much ranked it 1. Sand Hollow 2. Copper Rock 3. Wolf Creek

Sand Hollow had best overall conditions and layout.

Cooper Rock conditions were fantastic.

Wolf Creek had coolest views but course was a little gimmicky. Conditions weren't as good as the others.
