Anyone's kid out there this week? My son is doing it for the first time. Looks like a pretty sweet setup. Played a scramble at Traditions yesterday, splitting time between Top Golf and the Aggie Learning Center today and tomorrow with another round at Traditions on Thurs. Getting a little taste of college life living in Cambridge Hall with 3 roommates.

Hey - they should have a camp for "Old Kids"... just a thought.

Our daughter is there, dropped her off Friday

***ETA***

She's 12 and text me last night that she's having a blast. She already knew several of the coaches so there is some familiarity there.

And boy oh boy has dorm life changed for the better. They had 2 bathrooms a fridge and a microwave in their dorm. We had one large bathroom that 70 of us shared down the hall with 8 commodes, a dozen or so urinals, 8 shower heads and no privacy.

I feel like Aggie Golf Camp is a much different experience now than when I went in the late 90s

Seems like it was pretty cool. Daughter said she got a lot of fine tuning. Her miss is a slight pull and they worked on fixing it and sent her home with some tools to keep it in check. Of course it's the same instruction I have been giving her for a year or so but it came from someone not named daddy so she'll actually listen.

I bet the tools and facilities they are using now at Traditions are awesome.

My Aggie Golf Camps were three hours of pounding balls on the back of the Campus Course range followed by 18 on the old campus course. All in July. I improved A LOT those two summers but damn it was rough on a Colorado boy.

Yeah our HS summer "camp" in LA consisted of our "coach" (who only coached golf for the $$ and didn't even play) driving us in the short bus to the range and handing out range tokens. Strategy you ask? Pound a trillion balls on a crappy range with crappy balls until you "figure it out".

Alondra Park and/or Chester Washington in LA, look em up, SC LA in the 80's, ghetto golf at it's finest

yea, the kids definitely work hard and put in a lot of reps at this thing, but it's pretty bougie. dorms with resort style pools, driving carts for the rounds, top golf, aggie golf facilities, lots of swag...pizza, cfa, etc every night. i was definitely jealous when i picked him up.

But? Shouldve said "and". I wouldve loved golf instruction as a kid.

she was worried there would be a lot of beginners there and it would be more social than instructional. That wasn't the case
