We are still in architecture of new home design but im starting to kick the tires on some of finishes and other high ticket items to get an idea on pricing.

Not looking for wolf or subzero ultra high end but also not looking for cheap unreliable products either. Looking for that happy medium.

Also not looking for outdoor kitchen fridge, trash compactor, wine cooler or specialty appliances. For now just looking at the basics - 48" built in sized fridge and 48" range w/vent hood and dishwasher.

What brands are that next tier down from the high end? What realistically range are we looking at price wise?

We have Frigidaire appliances in our new home (other than a GE fridge we brought with us) and we've been very happy with them so far. I really like the dishwasher. It's quieter than even our previous Bosch and does a better job.

No idea on cost, as the house was already completed when we bought it.

GE Cafe Series

Aren't those about the same price as f&p, Thermador, etc.?

I feel like the next level would be ZLine, Thor, etc

Don't do Zline. Have friends that have it when they bought their house and absolute crap.

A 48" range and fridge isn't cheap no matter how you slice it. We have F&P range, F&P fridge, Bosch dishwasher. Happy with them all.

Going through a remodel right now

Narrowed it down to 36" cafe, Frigidaire pro or kitchenaid range, steam/microwave wall built-in (the splurge). fridge will be whatever brand range we go with or Bosch 800 fridge and Bosch 800 dishwasher

Because of programs that your premium brands run, you will not see as big of a difference as you would think going to brands like Monogram, Jennair and sometimes Thermador. Thermador is going to be a little higher because they do not have an all in one built in refrigerator. They use column units (separate 30" fridge and 18" freezer) and will run more than the traditional SXS.

We bought a dual fuel electric oven gas range top GE Cafe with a split two door oven.

Been very happy.

I have a neighbor that went with Forno (Canadian) and they love them. The coolest thing is that their dual fuel oven has french doors that open from the middle & easy slide out racks on ball bearings. Easy to get heavy things in & out without having to lean over a big door. Lowe's & Home Depot carry them.

No idea about them other than they look great.

F&P is an excellent product. I have sold it for $20 years Starteing when they only sold Laundry in the states!
