We are not getting any air flow to the vents on our AC system. Air handler is blowing but coil is completely stopped up with debris preventing air flow. Is it possible to clean the coil without removing it?

Are you sure it's the evaporator that's clogged? For zero air flow the whole air handler would have to be full of crud.

Have you checked to see if there is anything blocking the intake?

It is working again this morning. I believe the coil was frozen yesterday. It has happened before

That's likely a sign that you're low on refrigerant. It could also be caused by a dirty coil, but it would need to be really dirty to slow the airflow down enough to cause the freezing.

The other and least likely option is that your fan speed is set too low.

AC company came out. It was low on Freon. Unfortunately outside unit has a leak. Finally time to replace. Unit is 21 years old. It had a good life. Quoted $8500 to replace inside and outside unit. Keeping the existing furnace.
