We live in Helotes, For our small animals, we take them to VCA in Leon Springs.
Our large animals usually go to Boerne.

Pat Mims the mobile vet has taken excellent care of our pets for years

We live in Helotes also and love Hooves & Paws out Bandera. Kim Klein Anderwald is an Aggie. Her practice has kind of a "country vet" feel (nothing fancy about it) that I appreciate but everyone doesn't love.

My son and DIL live at Bulverde/Evans and use VCA Castle Hills.

We live in Northwood and have taken ours to Dr. Kirby at Alamo Heights Pet Clinic for over a decade. It's right next to EZ's and in Sunset Ridge Shopping Center.

If you're in the North side of town, we have been taking our dogs to Deerfield Animal Hospital at the corner of Blanco and Bitters.

We use Lincoln Heights Veterinary on the corner of Broadway and Basse. Dr. Radicke is an Aggie. Been using them since 2006.

My daughter is at Acres North near Jones Maltsberger and Bulverde Road. She's good (I am biased), an Aggie, and it's a brand new clinic. They recently moved at the end of 2024 from Donella and 281.

In that area I've heard great things about Perrin 410 Animal Hospital.

We use Broadway Oaks Animal Hospital
Dr. Richardson, '76(?) has been good to us and my in-laws over the years. Nothing fancy or special, but the staff are always very friendly. Prices seem reasonable as well.

However, if you've been there and didn't like it, I'll rescind my recommendation...

She cut her teeth on the southside having to deal with all aspects of pet care so this work on the northside is pretty simple. Our original vet (Dr. Hey at Deerfield) recommended that she start down there because she would have to treat just about every kind of thing that could happen to animals.

FYI - I did check them out and that office is permanently closed.

Oh! I know my mom used to use them and liked them but she did switch. Wasn't sure why but that explains it.

Bulverde Animal Hospital out 281 towards 1863. Not the most impressive building but I'm a huge fan of their doc and staff.

Very pleased with Eagle Veterinary Hospital on McCullough in Olmos Park. Dr. Erik Montelongo is who takes care of my ammuls.

We may be changing so glad I found this thread again.
