Is it just me or does the Army need to reevaluate their uniforms? Arlington cemetery was in outstanding condition, but the guards at the tomb just looked halfway ate up to me.

Baggy dress uniforms and god awful sunglasses (while overcast) that look cheap as hell. I went in thinking these guys would command more of a presence than they did and walked away wondering how other branches would perform under the same scenario.

Dont know what you are talking about. Those guys literally go through hours of uniform inspections before being allowed to go out at each changing. Some are actually sent back down if they are found lacking during the formal inspection up top. You will never see a more strac Soldier than a Tomb Guard.

The sunglasses are Oakleys. We wore the aviators when I was there. Kind of sad to see the change, but whatever. TGs are like Aggies: we hate change. I'd be shocked if the actual TGs were ate up. On Memorial Day, there are a whole lot of moving pieces, and many of them not TGs.
