Our normal channels are not going to be able to get a shipment of AEDs for donation from camp Pendleton to the south Pacific in time for the end of our deployment. Looking for any potential lifts of opportunity that may be available with some extra room.

The lithium batteries in them is a bit of a hang up.

Seriously……does the destination country accept shipments with lithium batteries installed in the devices? If so, send it USPS to the FPO/APO. Yeah, it's extra cost to the project, but you get it there. I've been shocked with how good shipping times to undisclosed locations can be for my forward deployed kiddos.

Destination should accept, I think it's the shipping regulations that make it difficult. These are 4 large crates. I'll look into the FPO address for a nearby unit, but the location itself doesn't have one.

Are these standard size/weight portable AED's? I'd bet one would fit perfectly in a USPS priority mail box that are available in most post offices.

Yeah, if there's not an FPO, this won't work.

How large is a large case?

Lithium batteries technically cause problems on TRANSCOM flights as well since it's still haz.
