Pro Tip: If you want your egg white foam to form a nice white layer on top…add a tiny pinch of cream of tartar before shaking (dry shake them with ice).

Caramelized Fig Syrup. So far I have made their "Bay of Figs" Rum cocktail, their Fig Manhattan with Old Forester Rye , Doulin Rouge Vermouth, Walnut Bitters and a Luxardo Cherry and an Old Fashioned replacing the Demerara syrup I usually use. All of them have been very good winter cocktails. The Manhattan reminds me of the dark Karo pecan pies my great grandma made during the holidays.

Thanks for the compliment. I do nerd out on cocktails for sure. I bought the toolbox (along with a blue Astros one I keep in my office) at a silent auction at the last charity golf tournament I played.

Started the night with a banging Sazerac made with cranberry syrup and then moved onto a Blackberry Sour with Early Times as the base spirit.

Those guys have dramatically changed their bottles. Wow!

Their orgeat is great for mai tai's

3/4oz Lemon juice
1/2oz St. Germaine
1/2oz Aperol
1.5oz Blanco Tequila
2 dashes Angostura
1 Barspoon agave
Light Sprinkle (pinch) of Tajin over the top
(The last two weren't in the original recipe but after trying that I thought they helped a bit)

Berry Whiskey Sour.
2oz Rye
1oz Lemon
1oz Berry Simple*
.75oz egg white
Teensy weensy pinch Cream of tartar.
*Berry Simple: equal parts by volume water, sugar, berry medley (I used blueberry, raspberry and strawberry). Brought to boil, simmered a few minutes until berries soften, lightly mashed/muddled, then strained to remove seeds and solids.

No pictures, but went with a couple of Paper Planes tonight.

Equal parts (0.75oz) OF100, Aperol, Amaro Nonino and lemon juice.

Such a great drink

I have made a pineapple daquiri with Plantation Pineapple Rum (2oz), lime (0.75oz) and simple syrup (0.75).

I like the idea of pineapple simple though

What's everyone's favorite whiskey or bourbon for mixing paper planes, whiskey sours, manhattan's, etc.

I've found I like WT 101 and Seven Sons Rye. I really like the rye in a sour.

I'm a fan of Rittenhouse BiB for old fashioneds. I tend to prefer higher proof whiskeys and bourbons for cocktails. They tend to hold up better when mixing.
