The Best Day Galaxy Ripple looked like an IPA and had good flavor/hoppiness but just zero body (even for an NA brew). It was like a seltzer version of beer but it did taste good and only 65 cal.

I picked this one up yesterday and thought it was pretty good. I like what they are doing, especially with the lower calories.

Ordered a couple beers from Self Care which is the Non-Alcoholic brand for Three Magnets in Olympia,WA. They had some decent buzz online and are outspoken about their process being very different than other NA brands.

First one I'm trying is their Freak Flag Hazy IPA. At first blush I didn't love it but it has really grown on me. The body and mouthfeel are really good.

Enjoying a few outside while my kid's slumber party rages over video games inside.

A little hazy action for watching moving day at The Masters.

Ordered a few different IPAs from Go Brewing and this is by far the best N/A hazy I've had yet. So good.

Hopefully this won't be too big of a derail but any suggestions for good NA wine? Specifically reds?

The Sierra Nevada Trail Pass Brewveza (blonde) and Hazy IPA are both very good.
Do not buy Bero. Worst stuff I have ever tried to drink.

Been wanting to get my hands on some the Trail Pass Hazy. Will need to try to find it.

Bumping this up as my wife is going full-on NA with mocktail concoctions and I'm in the sober curious phase. She had a recent medical scare that kinda opened our eyes to all of this. And, we're not getting any younger,...

Thanks for all of this. I've always been a wine guy, sprinkled with a beer especially on hot days. Mocktails at home are kinda PITA but if my wife likes the challenge, and it satiates her, I'm good with it!

As to NA wine, I've yet to find one that isn't glorified grape juice, or usually just too sweet. FRE sucks. Let me know if better ideas,...

Can report:

The Guiness NA tastes close enough to a real one for me.
Seaglass Savignon Blanc is good. Lacks acidity of a normal wine but pretty good for NA. (Kroger)
Wolffer Estate Spring in a Bottle Non-Alcoholic Wine is not bad for a sparkling offer. (Total Wine)

Just curious - what are the calorie counts on NA beers?

Generally 30-90ish. Lighter styles tend to be on the lower end of the range. Some breweries do tend to try to make low-cal variations of "stronger" styles as well. So some breweries may crank out a 35 cal NA IPA that has the flavors of an IPA in a much lighter form where other ones may have 90 cal NA IPAs that are trying to pack in as much flavor as possible without worrying about calories.

Brewveza is exclusive to the Variety Pack. Hazy just hit all the HEBs on the April resets. Brewveza is one of my favorite liquids.

Bought some of the SN Trail Pass Hazy. Smells like drinking a cup of weed - not that there's anything wrong with that.

What are good options for NA beers for those who typically drank Miller Lite with an occasional Dos Equis? This may be a dumb question I really don't know. I'm very new to the NA world.

IMO

Penn's Best (Total Wine) or Coors Edge.

Haven't tried the NA Ultra yet.

Gotcha, I'm gonna give the coors edge a shot for sure. I just got some Heineken 0.0 today so I'll try those out tonight.

My question tho is some of these brands say .5% ABV. I realize that is way below the typical 4.0-5.0 area of most light beers, but how is it still considered NA?

TTB defines NA as less than .5

Heineken 0.0 is quite good if you like regular Heineken

There may not be an answer to this next question and it may be arbitrary. But, since they still have a small amount of alcohol in it, does that not mess sobriety up? Again, I'm very new to this so please forgive my ignorance.

Awesome. I'll be giving them a try tonight with the stars and rangers vs astros.

I mean I guess if you sat around and drank 30 than yes it potentially could.

Most of the NA beers are produced like beer and then the alcohol is removed leaving the trace amount.

The Sierra NA beers are actually produced using a new technique where the yeast strain does not ferment and produce alcohol.

But to your point, that is why many breweries will not chance putting an NA on draft(Athletic is in a test phase). If you tap an NA, you have to trust that the line is cleaned and cared for properly. If not then the yeast could begin to ferment and someone who thinks they are drinking an NA could actually be consuming.

Sipping Heineken 0.0s watching the stars. Not too bad. I can drink these.

NA ultra is my river beer of choice. And it appears I'm not the only one. Hard to find locally!
