Jeff is my fave. Sunny can be a bit much at times.

GZ makes some great cocktails.

My favorite show on Food Network is "Beat Bobby Flay." I love it when these foreign chefs come with their weird dishes and talk about how they learned it from their grandmother and the celebrity judges ooh and ahhh over them and say "Bobby's going down" about a hundred times.

And then Bobby just mops the floor with them even though he's never made ramshicalique before.

I'll watch "BBF" any time. Except when Sunny Anderson is on.
My favorite as well, mostly because you never know what will be the focus of the dishes and it's fun to watch how different chef's dream up and cook things. I also like the banter between the hosts and Bobby.

Bobby wins a lot IMO because he's Bobby Flay and the judges absolutely know which dish is which. I think there is a lot of confirmation bias, but it's expected.

I also like DDD, but not sure if it's on the same network or not. I don't pay attention to what channel I'm on very much anymore.

I appreciate that Bobby is able to poke fun at himself and lean into the "Bobby flay is a ***** and needs to be knocked down a peg." Actually like him more than I used to because of this.

Yeah everyone on social media always says BF is arrogant. I don't see that at all. To me, he is very humble, especially given his skill set and abilities. And he definitely plays along with the whole "Bobby's going down" crap.

I also think he is gracious to the guest chefs on "BBF." Even after he smokes them on their abuela/nani/mamasan's special recipe.

I'm sure he's arrogant - most chefs (or people in general) that get to that level of success generally are. But he does a good job at self deprecation and really comes off as somebody that I could be in the same room with for sure. But I bet behind the scenes at time he is a lot to handle because of it.

Dude has a gift, no doubt about it. He can throw anything together and it looks phenomenal when he's done.

Bobby Flay

Make crispy rice
Use calabrian chilis, pomegranate syrup, and cilantro
Brown bread crumbs with anchovy oil

Think that covers his basics

Tastemade is where it's at for those that actually just like pure cooking shows. I love that channel.

Pretty much become my go to over food network. Feel like I have learned a lot of things from the various shows. No interest in the competition shows, though I will still watch DDD sometimes.

The word is that as happy as she seemed on TV, she had some depression issues. Truly sad... she was so good at entertainment in the food space.

"The document said Ms. Burrell, who was 55, had been "discovered in the shower unconscious and unresponsive surrounded by approximately (100) assorted pills." Emergency medical workers who responded to a 911 call pronounced her dead at the scene."

Did she have a history of substance abuse? What is more likely is she was on medication for a heart issue and was having chest pain so she went to get her medication then had a heart attack while doing so.

Someone with a heart issues may have some nitro pills on standby, but you aren't going to have a hundred plus assorted pills spilled out everywhere. That's nowhere near the most likely scenario given the circumstances which she was found

So she just swallowed a bunch of pills and waited 30 minutes for them to kick to die while spilling the rest around her?

To play devils advocate, it seems the press loves to push the "lots of pills spilled around the body" on pretty much every celebrity death they can with no evidence. Personally, with no horse in the race, I choose to give them the benefit of the boubt and wait for an official ruling.

The evidence suggests a drug induced CV event aka accidental overdose as the most likely scenario. The idea she going to go pop some beta blockers and ace inhibitors due to chest pain is highly unlikely. Name your wager if you want to double down on your implausible theory.

The evidence where? It would take a lot of anything to accidentally overdose much less wait around while spilling all the pills. If she bought something off the street that was tainted then it would be more plausible.

Going to have to look this one up, haven't seen or heard of it until now. Not that this means much, I rarely pay attention to what channels are these days.

Loved Anne's "Secrets of a Restaurant Chef" show. And I echo the statements that I miss the actual instruction shows like that. Used to eat dinner with my now wife and we would watch that show, Tyler Florence, Guy Fieri and Alton Brown and their respective shows. Loved it! Going to check out Tastemade for sure. Thanks for the tip!

I mean it's a mix of alcohol, Benadryl, Zyrtec, and her adhd meds. Tell me how many kids in CS do that each weekend. I don't know levels, nor do I have a reason to question the ME, but it doesn't necessarily mean it was on purpose.

I think the number of kids in CS do that particular combination of meds and alcohol is minuscule.

A lot of compounding sedative effects there.
