Does anyone make their own cold brew coffee at home? I tried searching for a thread but couldn't find one.

It seems simple - any tips/suggestions on how to do it or best materials?

I make cold brew every week. Just grind your coffee coarsely, let it sit in water in the fridge for 24-48 hours, and then strain. You can look into certain ratios of water to beans but it is really forgiving.

Pretty much the only way I drink coffee these days.

Any limit to how much you make at a time? How long does it keep?

In my head I'm envisioning having a large glass container with a spout at the bottom like you'd put punch in or something and just making it once a week.

Filter

I use something like this and a gallon Mason Jar to brew it and another gallon Mason Jar to store the coffee that is brewed.

Nice - do you basically have 2 going at once, one that is ready and then one that is brewing and just keep replenishing?

What do you use to coarse grind the coffee?

Baratza encore

I've got one of these but any coffee grinder will work. It takes quite a few beans to brew a whole gallon Mason Jar so a hand grinder might be a bit tedious.

They sell cold brew pitchers on amazon. Just pour your coffee of choice in the middle, then water in the pitcher. Put it in the fridge and it is ready the next day. Maybe swirl the pitcher once or twice just to mix it up. Careful, it goes down like iced tea, but it kicks just a bit harder than tea.
I am sure the hardo's on this board will scoff at this method, but they scoff at everything.

I usually do 80g on a pretty coarse setting (30 ish on my grinder).

Been using a Toddy for dang near 30 years. Works great!

I bought the OXO brand cold brew setup - it's compact when not in use and easy to clean. I typically brew mine strong in concentrate form to have water and H/H added. It'll allow me to brew about 8 days of cold brew and store in the fridge in the glass beaker looking jar
My grinder is the Cuisinart rectangular model. As long as you don't drop it and break the capture bin, it'll work just fine and doesn't cost a lot

Yep, this is what I have. Easy to use. Grind a standard bag of beans. I like to steep 24 hours and then filter. I just steep mine on the counter, then put in the fridge. Note, it brews concentrate so add water depending on how strong you want it. I usually do about 3 parts water to 1 part brew. Toddy

Homemade coldbrewer.

Old food container, a few cutouts, stainless steel strainer, and big ass coffee filters. Grind the beans in a blender and ask Alexa to request 11 cups of water from Moen smart faucet. Perfect every time.

I use 1 liter of coffee beens for 11 cups of water.
