I mean that's pretty much where I'm at as well. Bucky and Buzz weren't recruiting the same pool of players.

No one who Buzz would want is good enough to play for us anymore.

Buzz-ball was kind of painful to watch, IMHO.

But at least he wasn't recruiting his own players while playing for the national championship. There's that.

It amazes me that there are so many buzz apologists here. Is it just because they were so certain he was never going to leave and was our basketball savior that they can't handle it mentally how wrong they were about him? Just glad he moved on on his own and we didn't have to buy him out.

lol wut? He did really really well here. But his run was up and he got a lifeline

It's nice to have a coach who is on board, and a team player, and suave and classy and does and says all the right things, but there is only one thing that truly matters to me over all the other things and that is whether Texas A&M is winning games when we step onto the basketball court, and we definitely did that under Buzz Williams albeit after a rough start. Its not about liking him now, or whatever, its an acknowledgment that he got the job done here.

I know many of you want to boil down everything to some metric like "making the sweet sixteen" and label him a failure or whatever, but anybody paying attention can see that he was better coach and a bigger winner than many coaches who make it to the sweet sixteen once or twice.

Sure, it's part of the game now.

But for him to admit to it like this? What a chode.

All that bull**** get better, walk the Christian life stuff he espoused as his principles and values as the code for Buzzball?

I hope we get to play them in the NCAAs and Bucky stuffs his punk ass in his book club locker.
