Watching this match up you don't see a huge discrepancy in athleticism. Remember when PV had that incredible losing streak?

LSU and refs have cut it to 3.

It's just not like East Texas though. Sure an advantage and I expect us to win. They don't really have an answer for Agee I don't think. BUT. They do have a couple guys who can score in Joseph and Horne. Plus I missed their lead guard who got screwed on the ejection but the color guy liked him.

I just don't think it was anywhere near a punch in real time. I think he was pointing. The guy was in the cylinder and then took a huge flop.

Expect similar against us. Competitive for a half or a bit more and then run outta ammo and juice.

God forbid it's 100 combined free throws or whatever it is tonight.

Are we talking about the same play? The one I'm referring to that led to the ejection was at mid court. The way he went over the top with his off arm looked pretty weird to me. Maybe not… hard to say common foul, easily seen as no look playground punch in slow motion. That's how the refs saw it, but that was a big loss for PV at that point. I don't think he should have been ejected.

Yea. Same play. Slow motion it definitely looked like a punch so I know what you're saying but real time and given what he was doing at the time (setting up the offense) I think most of that look was the great acting by the LSU guy.

Illinois almost doubles up Mizzou. The "depth" of the league is having a rough non-con.

This might be anecdotal but it seems like there's way more blowouts than normal this year. Like good teams just getting killed in some games.

I live in Raleigh, NC. Saw a guy at the gym yesterday who was excited to be going to UNC's game with East Carolina last night. To be honest, I'd forgotten they were playing. Watched the first half of what was a blowout UNC victory on TV. A packed house with attendance over 20,000. The commentator mentioned that the absence of ~ 4,000 students during Christmas week opened up seats for the locals. Just a different basketball culture.

Here's my WAG: more teams are following the Alabama model and not just Bucky. Layups, free throws and 3s. Good shooting nights result in blow outs for; bad nights are blow outs against.

I think that's definitely part of it. I've said before on here but Bucky's offensive approach isn't really anything unique, it's the defense that sets us apart.

I also think just because you had a huge class graduate last year that the sport overall is more volatile than usual. Hardly anyone has very many returning players.
