Big missing piece could make his season debut this week.

Going to be interesting to see how we use and how it impacts our rotations. Mgbako is a big guy, he's 6-9, my big question as far as how much he changes the upside for this team is what's in the bag on the defensive end?

On offense he's going to stretch the floor, he's hopefully going to be able to drive to the basket against big defenders, I think he's going to be a solid player down there, but can he hold up in the paint at all defensively?

I want to say I read somewhere that the biggest question mark for him is his motor on defense, which isn't ideal due to our current situation on that side of the ball. I kinda think the defense is what is though, I hope it gets better throughout the year, but I don't think we're ever going to be elite or even above average at half court D this year.

I just hope he is all that was advertised on offense. With Pop still feeling his way through things, we need a #1 alpha that we can rely on to get a bucket when things aren't going well.

Yeah I don't think he's going to come in and be Robert Williams or anything. But my question is can he hold up okay against decent bigs? If so then that changes our outlook a bit on defense because we could do some different things that we can't do if Federiko is our only decent paint defender. You could extend out some zones and that sort of thing.

He should be a game changer on offense though because at his height he's basically always going to be open from three and if he can't pump fake and put the ball on the floor against big defenders he's going to make us very hard to guard.
