Has nothing to do with new guys new coach new team. Guts, an ounce of half court defensive effort and layups is all that's wrong. Check the attitude and Give just a tad bit of **** starts turning the corner. Tonight was an absolute joke of an example of anything Aggie following a complete embarrassment 5 short days ago. What an opportunity this group of guys have and it would be an absolute shame to watch this slow burn of don't seem to really care the rest of the season.

What a terrible take after 4 games. Im disappointed too but I wouldn't call out the team for a lack of guts or effort.
We're certifiably terrible. We got blasted by double digits at home by a team we were favored by 11 over. Right after OSU humiliated us. Gonna be a long season yall. Pump all the sunshine you want. We can't shoot for shyt.

As of today, looks like a good NIT team. Almost an entire season left to improve. We may have a 17 win ceiling in the regular season. Again, lots of time to improve.

Im not too concerned about recalibrating after 4 games, because I didnt expect us to be good at this point. Still frustrating to watch it, and we havent lost to a terrible small conference team yet, which I have been worried about as we have seen after some previous coaching changes

I will tell you that another thing I have feared may also come to pass…the SEC may not be the "greatest conference ever" again, and in that sense we cannot continue to think that we'll simply go .500 in conference and that will float our boat. Thats the real thing Im worried about, so far its OK, but we'll have to see

For the most part we gave great effort. There defense was improved over the osu gsme. You guys writing off the team after four games are wrong.

Still got to be patient here and buzz left us after the main portal season. Bucky has not given any excuses and that isn't him. This team will get better it was only their 4th game as a unit and we still don't have our best player. I'll be here all season to watch them get better.

We hired a no name with little track record aside from high school basketball and had to rebuild the entire roster.
We have to hope for a run in conference that gives us some pull in the portal plus have the dollars to land them.
Then we've got to hope the gimmick game, which requires system knowledge and isn't one they learn elsewhere, works where it rarely has before, and work with large roster turnover in the portal era.

Well…we found out how our offense works against more athletic teams. And, well, Bucky proved he has to install a half-court defense for after they cross the mid-court line.

Take away the missed layups and missed FTs and we are in the game. I'm more concerned that our guys just choked. 18-20 FTs and then missed 6/8 when it mattered.

If we hadn't hired him, Auburn would have just hired him to replace Pearl.
The guy is very well thought of - he was at the top of lists for Bama and Auburn, as well as Tech.

It's too early to make a judgment on the season with basically all new players, but the last two games were pretty hard to watch. We have a lot of work to do before conference play starts.
So dramatic. This has always been a stub year. It's not even a rebuilding year. The staff assembled a hodgepodge of a team late in the cycle. I rolled in with no expectations but to see the proof of concept.

I think some folks are too far either way on this deal. You can't go out and spend all the money we spent on this roster and just be absolutely terrible, but most of the reasonable people on here have been saying it's pretty likely that we're going to be pretty bad to start the season.
This was never going to be some kind of smooth sailing transition, especially with Isaacs and Mgbako not practicing until November.

Can't expect this to work so quickly after Buzz left with middle fingers in the air and we had no coach and 1 player left on our roster
First 1/8th of the first season with a whole new group of players … too early to draw any conclusions. Need to see significant improvement in the next 5 or so weeks tho. Also it may look different with Mgbako who I believe was touted as our top transfer in.

I'm fine with where we are, did we really think we would instantly gel and be a top ten team. We will get there and everyone will be ready by conference time.
No one knows what the hell this team will look like. They could be great, they could suck. It's all conjecture at this point. Coach has no experience in a P4 conference. We've seen a few ups, but mostly downs.
No excuses for "we have all new players". Most schools have at least 50% roster turnover - it is what it is. Just win.
