I saw the entire 2nd half. It looked like we didn't run any ball screens to free up shooters off a single bounce in rhythm. Is the thinking that those shots won't be available against better opponents, so don't fall in love with them?

Yeah, if Kevin Durant or Dirk Nowitzki is coming out to set the screen, it's basically one bounce, slide, pop. Hopefully we can develop someone who can flare out and offset the perimeter length we'll see in conference. However, this is where the hatred of the mid-range game comes into play. It seems like the 2 man game has to include some element of picking up the dribble, stop and pop, or a half roll for the screener..

I think this is where we're hoping Mgbako makes a big difference. It'll also get better as we built better chemistry at predicting when the screen is going to cut or roll or whatever. That just takes time to get where you can predict it.

Apparently he took himself out because he was hurting but Bucky didn't seem to think it was a big deal.

The Isaacs thing is strange though. Sounds like he's not hurt.

Issac doesn't seem to be picking up concepts as quickly as others. A lot of the big runs by Montana and UCF were when he was in. That's just an outsiders opinion.
