He's got 6 BBs. My memory is rusty on the stat side of things but doesn't a walk lower a batting average because it's not reach base via a hit?

Really hoping he comes up to high-A ball next season so the whole fam can rock Aggie gear in town at a WS Dash game.

Walks do not affect batting average at all. It does not count as an at bat. It sure does help on base percentage though.

Bryce Miller has quietly had an excellent season. 11-8 with a 3.06 ERA and WHIP of 0.99. Opponent batting just .204 against him and he's got 166 Ks. His ERA is 10th in the MLB and WHIP is 5th with Ks at 27th. It's Miller time in Seattle.

Grandson just named Oakland A's Minor League Player of the Year 2024 by Baseball America. Also listed on BA's minor league 2nd team All Stars. Had a great year at AA and AAA. Fininshed in the top 10 minor league hitting stats this year (Baseball Reference)--total hits, RBIs, home runs, doubles, triples, slugging %, and total bases. Now getting ready for November's trips to Mexico and Japan with Team USA baseball professional 2024. He's come a long way since Apr 22 college season ending injury and not being able to throw or hit a ball until Oct 22.

as a pitcher. Minor league deal of course because he hasn't pitched in a long time. I think he threw BP here in Aggieland but don't believe he was ever inserted in a game.

Pure awesome-ness. Really happy for Tyler, one of our all time favorite Aggies.

Got to see Appel and Montgomery at a White Sox affiliate spring training game out here in NC. Appel had some great at bats. Chatted with BMont for a few minutes after the game. It was great talking to him though strange to see him in purple and not maroon. He took the time to sign every kid's baseball or hat that he could.

Wanted to Thank you for this post and all the work you do.

I have the opportunity to travel a bit of the country for work related stuff the next few months and I love going to minor league games when I can


Hit up Bowling Green Hot Rods Tuesday night. Hunter Haas didn't play but bummed. Next day he goes 2-4 with 2 solo Big Fly's. Figures.

At least the Corvette Museum was fun.

After three Isotopes up 4-1 on EP with two 2 run bombs off Stephen Kolek


Another solo shot against Kolek rough outing for him

Kolek leaves after 5IP+. 7 earned. No decision as the relief pitcher gets out of jam and game goes to the 7th tied 7-7

Kolek just pitched only the second complete game shut out at Coors Field. The Rockies are absolutely terrible this year. Padres won 21-0.
