I firmly believe we sweep those turds at Olsen and take 2 out of 3 at a neutral site

It didn't seem to me like the tu crowd was really all that bad but I wasn't there. Just basing on what I saw on TV. But could've. Don't get me wrong. It was frustrating, especially only losing by one run each game but **** happens.
Not about the tu crowd. There's a huge difference between playing at home vs playing on the road with an opposing team fan base letting you know how much they hate you for 9 innings. There's an energy level at Olsen like no other place. Not to mention the ridiculous amount of home cooking they got from the umps.

I get it. I hate those asshats like no other. Have for 40+ years. Just would've been nice if we could have actually participated in the fun. Pig sweeping them was fantastic schadenfreude but ultimately means zero in regards to our season. Let's just get this one today. That'd be much bigger.

Are you sure you get it?

This thread is not about winning against LSU. It's about enjoying sippy misery. That's it.

I can discuss the specifics of our season, ramifications, etc on other threads focused on that one.

I don't think we do. We literally lost all 3 games by 1 run each. If those games are at Olsen, odds are we sweep.

I'll say over and over those games will make us better. What really killed us was getting swept at home by Bama and losing 2/3 at home to Ky. We've had the hardest schedule in the nation, we are getting battle tested as every game has been close. Can't worry about it now and get UH on Tuesday.

I wouldn't bet against them, but they will likely be one of the most vulnerable hosts due to how thin their pitching now is. If they had to play 4 games they'd be in trouble. You saw it this weekend vs Arky, get to one of their 2 starters and it blows the whole staff up.

We beat Arkansas at their place and they turned around and absolutely slaughtered the sips. Considering we were probably playing our best baseball at that time, and not our best in Austin yet still being very close, I think we're the better team. I'm enjoying the heck out of this.

This was posted on the Premium board but not sure I've seen it here. Sip had runners first and second, batter hits a foul popup, easy play for the catcher. Both runners take off for the next base. Catcher makes the catch and acts like he can't believe it, easy DP. POS benches both runners.

How did both runners do this? And on a foul? I don't think I've ever seen this.

If you watch the runners, it is the runner on first that caused the problem. Gasprino on 2nd base went back to the bag and then the runner on first went to second and either told him to go/or he assumed must be two outs.

Why run on a pop out to the catcher in foul territory. Mangus Effect. The spin causes a ball behind home plate or near that area in foul territory to move towards fair territory. This effect is why you see a lot of players over-run/over play balls in fair territory. The ball is actually moving and not going straight up and down.

The ball almost gets back to fair territory. Batter should have been running himself.

Since it was only 1 out, obviously the other runners should not have been running at all if it landed in fair territory, it should have been called an infield fly if fair.

Here's to many more inexplicable debacles that plague the POS til the end of his days - never achieving what he so cunningly and selfishly sought.

They're still a really good team even without their best SP. I wouldn't be dancing on their graves just yet.

Certainly not as good as they were with him and they've gotten the benefit of an easier SEC schedule, but they have more than enough talent to make a run. Maybe more of a top 10 team instead of #1.

You're pathetic. I mean, truly pathetic. There have been countless sip trolls on this site over the years. But not a single one of them have continuously, year over year pretended to be anything other than what they are. I used to kind of be irritated with you. Now I just feel sorry for you. What a sad existence.

I guessed you missed the ass whipping your softball team just took. You know the one where the Ags set several SEC tournament records.

Schloss is a great coach. Earley clearly is not but it is funny he did things this year that Schloss still has not accomplished. Just shows me after we correct our bad hire, we will go back to beating you in baseball as well.

Another series last weekend where Texas' offense wasn't very good. That's 3 weekends in a row and really 5 out of their last 6. Getting Belyeu back will help but it'll be interesting to see how quickly he can get back up to speed.

They'll need their bats to carry them at some point in the regional, their pitching is too thin to rely on comfortably, regardless of how good the top guys are. Will be interesting to see if Riojas is still the Friday guy after 2 disastrous starts in a row.
