On the fence with this. I don't like it being abused when hitters over crowd the plate hoping for a slightly errant pitch. But I also feel if the batter is legally positioned in the box and the pitcher can't make the pitch then that's on the pitcher. Very subjective to assess batters reaction time and vision. I suppose it depends on the degree of how bad the pitchers is.

I just look at it as 2 athletes trying to win on a noble deal. Having your elbow in the strike zone with armor n is not noble in my opinion.

Them AZ fans are used to it. Advantage to them. Ever been to Tucson? Spent two summers working down there. Outside.

Brutal is an understatement. And I was used to hot weather and still felt beat down out there.

Though I'll be damned if I don't miss the desert these days though for some reason…probably some weird Stockholm syndrome thing going on

So awful. The temps don't even have to be that high. It's dry and the UV index is killer. We went through so much sunscreen last year

I just got back from a wedding in Nantucket. My only regret is I couldn't make it to the Cape to watch any baseball.

Yeah it's cloudy for 45 minutes per year in Tucson. As you know it's considerably cooler in Tucson than Phoenix but I think they're still 105 or so which is 20 degrees hotter than Omaha. I was being serious though that they might be wearing pullovers. Last summer I visited family in San Antonio. It was 118 when I left Phoenix and 89 when I arrived in SA. I definitely wore a pullover.

I was surprised Arizona made it to CWS and figured they'd be 2 and out. Would love to see Coastal win it all.

Aye, used to live in PHX and work all along the southern deserts, to include Tucson. It was a weird time in my life. I still periodically wear hoodies in the summer heat in the metro. Once a desert rat, always a desert rat I guess.

Was watching the heat shimmers around the field and definitely thought AZ had the weather advantage so to speak. Though I guess it didn't matter enough in the end.

I'm still on the Murray St train but CC would be nice to see as well take it all. Their lineup just doesn't stop battling. From leadoff to the nine hole, they are downright dangerous. Super fun team to watch!

Shadows have pretty much engulfed the pitchers now so it'll be interesting to see if the at bats get better going forward.
