We will be in Boston next week and we're think about going to catch a Cape Cod game. For those that have been, was it worth it and any recommendations? Is there one field that you would recommend?
What Aggie players are there this season and what teams are they on?
Thanks in advance.

Just went with my family recently to a game. Since we were closest to Hyannis, we went to a game there on a Sunday evening. It's incredibly family friendly. All games are free to attend. I believe most of the teams play at a high school field. The one in Hyannis was just fine and had a good amount of bleachers. The concessions were adequate and they had some nice merch as well. I highly recommend going to a game.

I think there was only 1 Aggie player among the teams we saw but I don't remember who it was.

FYI, no alcohol is sold at any of the ballparks.

Cool that you got to attend. Cool area. Giving you a hard time on the above sections of your post. I haven't been to a HS concession stand that pours beer.

Bear Harrison and Ben Royo are playing for Falmouth. We have a group of Aggies that will be there on the 4th!

Went there to watch our grandson play in 2021. 10 teams in the league spread out from west to east throughout the Cape. Easiest fields to get to are Wareham (not really on the Cape just a few miles west).then Bourne (team grandson played for) and Falmouth. The rest are strung out eastward along the Cape. Just two bridges/roads to get on and off the Cape from the mainland. They're busy during the weekdays and jam packed during the weekends.

The game atmopsphere is really throwback, easy going, and just plain great. If you and the family go and you all like baseball you'll love it. Have some lawn chairs in case the stands are full. Loads of great seafood restaurants on the Cape and recommend you do dinner before the game. Most games are at night and the snack bars at the fields usually have long (2 inning) lines.

It's our greatest baseball memory following our grandson until this weekend when he just got called up to the majors. Love baseball!

We have been to Falmouth, Chatham and Orleans. We come every year (perk of having family in the area). We like Orleans out of the 3 because it's the easiest to get a foul ball (my kids goal/wish each year). Especially if you sit on 3rd base foul line, it's less crowded than first but don't tell anyone because we plan to be there this week too and is already talking about getting another one . He always gets players to autograph as well.

We will be going to the Y-D game (on Wednesday 2nd) since the Ags are mostly upper cape this year. To catch the transfer- Chris Hacopian (Y-D)and the Ags at that game- Harrison & Ben Royce (Falmouth).

It's free to go. Bring chairs as most don't have seating (Chatham does!) and cash to support through raffle or snacks. All the different parks start at different times. Stay after and you can catch some autographs and we always talk to the Ags to let them know we're Ags too!

It's always a great time and we've been doing it since I was a kid. A few we have met in the recent past Kaeden Kent, Tabb Tracy, Logan Britt (gave my then 5 yo a bat and he still has stars in his eyes about that), Trevor Werner, Ali Camarillo, and others I can't remember at the moment.

My family is also headed to cape cod in July for a summer ball oriented vacation. We're staying in Chatham & planning on going to a few games there and maybe traveling to Brewster one night. Open to any and all suggestions about the area, baseball fields, etc!

It's been a couple years since we've been to Chatham so if we go on Thursday I will update this. I remember the parking being tough so may want to go early. Park is fenced in. Nice field and nicer bathrooms. Both times we went in the past they handed out balls to kids after. Might be their thing. This year they have a new manager so that might change. There are nice seats behind home plate and bleachers out on third base side.

Never been to Brewster so can't speak to that park/field.

As far as things to do- Main Street has lots of great shops. The Shark Conservatory in town is a pretty cool place to check out.

We do beaches in Orleans (Nauset is cold/big waves & Skaket is warm/calm and low tide you can walk for miles), but if you plan to do beaches you need to download the Sharktivity App for warnings. There are Great Whites in the water, especially when seals are around.

If you're looking for something to do on a rainy day - Hyannis is where it's at. Kennedy museum, Cape Cod Baseball Museum, Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory & Cape Cod Brewery. Although it's been a while since we have done them all (precovid) so not sure on changes there.

Other Upper Cape interests- Whydah Museum & Woods Hole in Falmouth. Take a step back in time at Plimoth Paxtuet (my kids really enjoyed this especially after their social studies units)

Lower cape has Truro wineries, Plimoth Monument, Coast Guard Beach & P-Town. Although P-Town isn't for everyone so do your research before going.

Plenty to do in Chatham just three the rest out in the event you're looking for something.

We went to the Y-D park today for the first time, lots of parking. Really liked the park. Similar to Orleans in that you can sit past the nets and have good chances at foul balls. We sat 1st base side and my kids got their hands on 5 foul balls with 2 great live plays happened right in front of us. Shared the extras with kids around us and ended up meeting Will Gasparino's family. He was playing for Y-D, while his Dad was there scouting. Really nice family and Will was very nice (I know there is history with him).

We met Ben & Bear, as well as Chris. Ben and Bear weren't planning but Chris was the DH and had a pretty good night. They announce him as an Aggie already - which hasn't always been the case with other transfers. He was happy to meet some Aggies, very down to Earth guy. All three seemed to be excited about the coming year with additional players and team staying healthy.

The food was excellent. Apparently they are well known for their Donut Burger. My daughter enjoyed hers.

There is amble bleacher seating if you don't want to bring your own lawn chairs, and a lot of room for the kids to play behind the bleachers. Lots of wiffle ball games going on while the game was played. There are no lights so expect earlier games. They called it in the 8th inning because of the light. Really fun last inning with both dugouts packed and lots of cheering - reminded me a lot of my son's 10U games this year. Falmouth's bullpen is very vocal in a good way. Seems to be every year.

If you have the opportunity to go, definitely worth it!

My son, Riley, just got to meet Chris Hacopian, our new transfer from Maryland. Super nice guy! He's playing for the Dennis Red Sox. Going to watch this game for a few innings and then head down the road to see Bear Harrison play a few innings with Falmouth.

Hacopian has hit 2 dingers in 36 games and 132 at bats this summer. 6 K's, 14 walks.
