Your logic fails here.

I am not going to actively seek out a softball forum, but do pay attention to the threads on the baseball forum and keep track of the team.

If there was a separate softball forum, I wouldn't keep track, just like I don't ever go to the women's basketball forum.

I would keep track with any team that is doing well or im interested in.. Women's basketball hasn't been doing to well nor am i that interested in it but that doesnt mean other folks dont or wouldnt... I feel softball deserves it.. the past few seasons they have gotten better and better and it would be much easier to keep up with if they had their own forum..

Just have to jump in here. This discussion about having a softball thread is dividing sports fans and their opinions right now. I'm a huge Aggie sports (all) fan and I read most of them because I'm interested. There are some childish comments regarding softball. If you don't like the game just keep it to yourself. Our girls played sports and I support them more today because of the travesty happening in our country regarding guys calling themselves girls.

I support having a separate forum for softball and I'll continue to follow baseball. I have season tickets to both!

If we don't want more fans, why would be trying to get a new separate forum to make it easier to read and add additional softball topics to discuss. And the last 3 weeks, you haven't even looked at a softball thread, except for the one that softball fans wanted a separate forum. It's like, Karen, what are you screaming about, it doesn't make sense, or you could say it's very strange. this is why I get banned.

Let's be clear. No one (at least not that I'm aware of) is against another Aggie sport. We're all rooting for the softball team and Coach Ford to get us to the WCWS and bring home a championship. We're against softball having it's own forum because we actually want to stay in touch with but would be less likely to keep up if it were not on the baseball board. Big difference and make sure you understand the nuance.

If I hated softball, I would want it to have it's own board so I didn't have to see the content when I clicked the baseball board.

We are not rabid softball fans, but that doesn't mean we are against the team. We just have other priorities for our time and interest.

pretty sure this sentiment was the only reason the womens basketball fans got their own board 15+ years ago. a safe space since theres not much crossover between the two fanbases. I was partially responsible for reminding them of that.

Baseball/Softball fans seem to coexist fairly amicably though, so if it aint broke i probably wouldnt try to fix it.
