Stupid ruling by ump.
Weather can always cause stoppage in play. Lighting would qualify for an stoppage in play. Ump should have called it no pitch and told everyone to go to dugout.

The funniest part of the whole video is when one of the commentators said "people are heading for cover and it's not even raining". Yeah, those people weren't afraid of being struck by lightning or anything like that?
Lightning stopping play is relatively newer. Umps administering rules they sometimes "get confused by" is A Tale as Old as Time…

Dumb ass ump!
... and they kept on playing is the funniest part to me. Err on the side of caution, have everyone go to dug out and get an update on the weather report before resuming play. Wow
