I was in favor of moving on, but I can certainly see reasons for optimism. Last year our entire offense underperformed expectations and you had to think part of that had to do with trying too hard to perform to the ultra high expectations and that was compounded by players feeling like they had to perform for their coach. This year we have much lower expectations and I think the team can play with a chip on their shoulder instead. We will see. Pitching is a bit of a concern, but if we can find enough pitching I think we could surprise a lot of people. We will see.

Yes, my kids like him so much and he's such a nice guy. I really really wanted him to do better here and he just didn't.
