I flipped over just in time to see that 3 run bomb for Tiger. Vandy going for the sweep but they have work to do.

An observation about the first weekend of SEC play. Only one away team to won, Auburn's sweep of Mizzou and that was not easy, all three games were close into the later innings. Only other sweep, well LSU/VU isn't over but it appears that swamp kitty will avoid the brooms) was Florida over Carolina also a very close series in the first two games. Hang on boys and girls I think we're in for a hell of a ride this SEC this year.

How I did I forget that? I figured it was '22 but how did I not remember it without the reminder was the swamp kitties in the Box?. It was all doom and gloom going into that weekend and the Ags came so close to a sweep, right?

Yes, I don't remember the exact circumstance but I remember being bitterly disappointed we didn't finish off the sweep. Think we left a ton on base

Yep. That was a great series except for the last game.

Don't hate seeing a team we handled pretty easily win 2/3 against a top 25 team.

Both times we've won a series in Baton Rouge, we went with very low expectations (in 2017, we lost a home series to Kentucky the week before). I can't remember if it was the week before or that very week when they started playing Bost at second, but it turned around the season. We just slugged our way past LSU, and had a lead late in the 3rd game, but couldn't quite close the deal.

Hard to make a judgment based on one series against an opponent who, although ranked #9, I'm not quite sold on, yet. This year's team might be similar to '22. Pitching looks pretty thin -- there is some quality there, but not always consistent, and not as much as you would like. We are going to have to put up a lot of runs in order to be successful.

Baseball season in Mid-Missouri. We topped out at 65F yesterday... and then the cold front hit. Currently sunny and 14F.
