2/3 with his 2nd homer since joining the Astros. Hitting .308 now.
And his defensive play with rope throw to first in the seventh inning was also impressive.

I'm at the Mariners game right now and realized that his current Astros walk up song is exactly the same from his time at A&M. Brings me back memories.

I feel like taking my shoe off and waiving it in the air to the beat!

There's a potential for a Shewmake vs Miller showdown tonight if Shewmake gets the start. Only one Aggie has ever homered off another Aggie when Chuck Knoblauch took Ryan Rupe deep in 2000.

As of this morning, as an Astro, Shoemake is killing it.

Shoemake is batting .378 with 37 at-bats, 14 hits, 3 HR and 6 RBI.

Compare this to other Astros when they had 37 at bats earlier this season:

Yordon Alvarez was batting .324 with 37 at-bats, 12 hits, 4 HR and 10 RBI.

Carlos Corea was batting .290 with 37 at-bats, 11 hits, 1 HR and 9 RBI.

Jeremy Pena was batting .297 with 37 at-bats, 11 hits, 0 HR and 4 RBI.

Braden is doing well as an Astro (too bad they're in a rough patch as a team).

Watching the Astros game, MLB hitting coaches have really closed his stance. At A&M, I remember it as wide open.
