…but I'm thinking, after The Corn went 5 yesterday, a weekend rotation of Sims, Freshcorn and Darden (give him another crack at it) looks appealing to me. Yes, Corn is very valuable out of the pen, but I'm thinking we get early leads then hold on for dear life in the late innings.

Nah. Way too valuable out of the pen. You make him a starter and the pen will blow a lot of games

Feels like a break glass in case of emergency option if you end up in a losers bracket in a regional or in Omaha

I'm not saying this scenario is right or wrong but nothing should be off the table this weekend or moving forward
You have 6 capable arms - Simms, moss, sdao, lyons,fresh, Darden…if you want to add in bond as 7, I would agree. This weekend especially; you use and shuffle the deck chairs as much as possible to attain 2 wins. Honestly don't care if we use all our starting pitching in 2 games if wins are there for the taking even if it means we get blasted in a Sunday game 3 because Cunningham has to throw 4 innings. So be it
We will have to get reality creative for this weekend and into post season if we are going to advance

Maybe there's a scenario where that makes sense but Day 3 game starter is imo not one of them
The only scenario I could see is the "if needed game " and he wasn't used in game one

I did. Have you checked the season stats? Of the pitchers who have started games for us he has the lowest ERA and 3rd lowest batting average against. He deserves another crack at breaking into the rotation.
