I know it is partially based on who won and who lost, but WV in the Top10 is a joke replacing Kansas which was a joke.
West Virginia's resume: currently 18th in RPI with a respectable 8-4 in Q1 games and 13-9 in Q1/Q2 games. However, once you dig deeper you see that their Q1 games are all made up by road series against the RPI 21, 22, 35, and 48 RPI teams. They lost the series against #21 Cincinnati, swept #22 Kansas, and took 2 of 3 against both #35 Liberty and #48 Arizona St. They also lost a home series against #33 UCF and a home Tuesday match against #45 Pittsburg. #67 Baylor makes up their next best series win.
In short, WV's resume is propped up by sweeping an over ranked Kansas team and a 19-8 Big XII conference record.
Kansas, who was in the Top 10 prior to being swept by WV has fallen to RPI #22. Their resume is bolstered by a home and away Tuesday sweep of Nebraska as well as taking 2 of 3 against both #21 Cincinnati and #27 Oklahoma State.
Both teams are propped up in the RPI by playing their "best" opponents on the road and having nice records against a weak Big XII conference.
The Aggies have played 18 games against teams with RPI of 20 or better with 3 still remaining and have a 8-10 record against those teams. Kansas has played 5 and is 2-3. West Virginia has yet to play a top 20 RPI team.
