The first transfer window came and went. The Aggies added standout outside hitter, former number 1 recruit in Texas, Kyndal Stowers. At 5'10 she has a huge vertical and really powerful swing! She's a 6 rotation player. She accumulated some really great stats in 2023 before ending her season due to injury. Baylor didn't seem her medically fit to play in 2024 due to a concussion. This led to communication problems because Stowers felt she was fit to play, she entered the portal and in December signed to play for the Ags! She's really shown out in spring and looked phenomenal in our last scrimmage against SMU with 12 kills!

We only lost one player to the portal in Ital Lopuyo. She transferred to Georgia Tech. She played a few sets in relief duty.

Nope! Unless she wants to sit out a season the SEC still doesn't allow immediate play when transferring in the spring for fall sports!

That's a huge hit to Florida, it would be comparable to us losing Lednicky. That's a massive hole for them to fill this summer. Not sure she's replaceable! This should put us at minimum top 3 in the sec preseason poll

Lola Schumacher, Libero of Wisconsin entered the portal. She was phenomenal against us in the sweet sixteen match and rumors were her family donated lots of money to Wisconsin's NIL fund lol

SMU is apprently going after Martin and Singletary. Nearly their entire starting lineup is transfers already. But I guess after getting smacked by us they'll go after some more rather than develop their own signees.

Kennedy Martin transfers to Penn State! She puts them as one of the favorites to win it all! They have the best setter returning, a dominant outside hitter, and now with Martin on the right side! Their two middle blockers will be transfers as well!

I noticed Brooke Jeffrey has been added to the transfer portal list. The team posted a graduation picture of her with Jamie on their FB page. Perhaps she wanted to transfer somewhere else where she could get more court time for a grad school season.

Can't blame her or Ital Lopuyo for transferring! They want to get on the court more and they have the talent to do so, but Lopuyo was behind Lednicky and we have a lot of hitters at the outside position. For 2025 we currently have Kyndal Stowers, Emily Hellmuth, Taylor Humphrey, Megan Fitch, Lexi Guinn, and Amare Hernandez

Not surprised Jeffrey is leaving but sad some from last year's group are leaving. I think the team had great chemistry and also enjoyed being on a Morrison coached team. I think (though I could be grasping) seeing her graduation pic with Morrison says a lot about their relationship as coach and player. Jamie had to have known she was jumping into the portal.

Jamie and staff are really big into development. Their first real high school class is stellar.

Obviously not afraid to use the portal to fill holes either, but I don't see Jamie going out and trying to buy a new starting lineup every year.

Definitely. I was more referring to big donors generally, not necessarily for this program.

but let's say Lednicky was not here the past two years, what would this team have looked like? I know she is legacy but I'm assuming she getting some NIL. But would we have money whipped a top talent?

Florida loses another! One of their top transfer grabs in the winter was on campus for about 5 months and has now entered the portal. Flormarie Colon who was a stat Miami has now entered the portal! Further dropping Florida's team

They are definitely spending, but at the same time, players are shopping around year to year and know their market value. While we have the benefit of continuity, are we 'saving' by having girls stick around vs bringing in new every year?
