Did texas really reload? I feel like they took a big step backwards last year and not sure what they've done to gain it back.

They added a strong strong hitter in Torrey Stafford from Pitt and they added some strong freshman hitters as well. They lost one of their starting middle blockers to UCLA and seem really lacking there. They also don't have a right side that's experienced at that position. And they're going back to the setter they benched last year. No clue why they're ranked so high other than they're Texas

EXCITED to what the team can do this year. preseason schedule I wish could have been better for us to compete for a regional final host.

They are stacked with back row defense brought in a libero from the big 10 thats probably their DS and an international plater. Middle is their biggest question mark as they sucked last year for them. The freshman that they have coming in have played on team usa this summer and are pretty good since ive been watching a lot of these tournaments. They were loaded last year too and failed so it really depends if they can put it together. If they dont they are in for another rough year.

Yeah their back row will be great, but I think we and other great teams will attack their middles. Aymes was great offensively last year, but not a force up front. They usually have strong middles as their force in recent years, but this year will feel different for them there.

removing my maroon-tinted glasses... I think texas will be pretty good this year. Not sure about top 5 going in though. I firmly believe that their issue last year was bringing in transfers that killed the chemistry of the team. Obviously the setter controversy but also others even though I have zero knowledge behind the scenes.
