He was a tad pissed at the no lift call. You can their bench and fans erupt when it's not called.

Plenty of calls went both ways tho.

It really wasn't a no-call. On first touch you basically have to hold the ball and throw it for it to be a lift. Logan hit it open handed so it rolled off her hand - but very few refs will call that on the first touch especially that late in the 5th set in a regional semi-final.

Now if it had happened to us I am sure I'd be steaming mad, but it was certainly wasn't a screw job worthy of slapping a ball way up into the stands.

100% agree!

in the same sequence a spike from Logan ( I believe) was played off the upper torso of the L-ville libero. the ball "stuck" or came to rest until freed by the use of both hands. an obvious "lift" or not...... sometimes officials become spectators in the contest. both plays might have been legal or not. the nuances of VB and officiating....

I have been impressed with the consistency of the officiating in the Sweet 16. Lines much better. they even called a foot fault. lol
