S Clay Honeycutt: Four years ago, Honeycutt was one of three quarterbacks — Jameill Showers and Matt Joeckel were the others — to sign with the Aggies. Today, he’s a veteran backup safety and one of the team’s more well-liked players. He’s also seen very little game experience during his first three years on campus.

That could very well change this fall. The hard-working reserve is coming off confidence-building action in the Cotton Bowl and a particularly impressive spring.
