Heisman Hopefuls: Argument narrowed down to two?

Fringe names continue to be thrown into the conversation as the race ebbs and flows, but a mere two legit contenders remain. TexAgs' resident Heisman voter explains why the prevailing arguments are incorrect.

In recent weeks Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron has gotten endorsements as a Heisman contender despite his modest statistics. The reasoning is that the best player on the best team should draw substantial Heisman consideration.

In that case, shouldn’t it be LB C.J. Mosley, T Cyrus Kounadjio or safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix that’s being trumpeted for Heisman consideration? All are ranked higher than McCarron by NFL scouts.
