Heisman Hopefuls: Topsy-turvy race far from finished

The season heads into championship week with a number of things decided. Yet, TexAgs' resident Heisman voter notes in his weekly rankings, in abnormal circumstances the trophy's likely winner is not one of them.

Typically, by the end of the college football regular season the Heisman Trophy winner — or at least the two at the top — is obvious.

But this year’s race has been nothing approaching typical.

Indeed, this could’ve been the year a defensive player could have won it had there been a strong candidate.

Instead, most of the candidates have had major flaws.
