If anything has done the most to mar the' Aggies season, it's been inconsistency — at least that has been consistent. After raising hopes, A&M's abject failure against LSU calls its postseason status into question.

Here we are again.

Just when it appears Texas A&M’s basketball season can be salvaged, just when it appears the Aggies are developing into legitimate postseason contenders, just when they give you hope…

They get battered in Baton Rouge.

LSU overcame a slow start, took advantage of A&M’s erratic shooting and eased to a 68-49 Southeastern Conference victory on Wednesday night.

The Aggies (16-12, 7-8 SEC) converted just 30.8 percent (16-52) from the field.
