Yet another resume-booster eluded Texas A&M as the Aggies failed to uphold a 14-point second-half lead and suffered an 86-74 loss to Central Florida on Friday night. Now 0-2 vs. Big 12 opponents, the Maroon & White will return to action on Tuesday to face Montana.

Déjà vu is painful.

This home-and-home series has been incredibly puzzling for this program. For the second straight year, the Aggies walked into their matchup with UCF as the more talented team and favored to win, and yet for the second consecutive season, they’ve blown a late lead.

Last year, Texas A&M was in full control up nine with two minutes left and couldn’t make a free throw to ice the game in a 64-61 season-opening loss.
