Claiborne, Golden dismissed from A&M football team

Though they were two of A&M's brightest young stars on D, arrests on charges of aggravated robbery put the sophomores' disciplinary issues over the top and the University announced their dismissal on Tuesday.

Promising linebacker Darian Claiborne and nose guard Isaiah Golden, who both started as true freshmen last season, were dismissed from the Texas A&M football team on Tuesday afternoon after they were arrested on three charges of aggravated robbery stemming from an incident on May 23.

Investigation at the scene found that the three victims had entered into an agreement to purchase a quantity of marijuana from the suspects.
