No. 9 A&M soccer begins 2014 season with win over Dayton

At Ellis Field on Friday night the ninth ranked Aggies defeated the Dayton Flyers 4-3 in the season opener. Kelley Monogue led the team with 2 goals and a late score from Shea Groom gave the Aggies the win.

Friday night saw the ninth-ranked Texas A&M soccer team start their season against the visiting Dayton Flyers in front of more than 2800 fans. After unveiling a board commemorating their SEC championship from a season ago, the 2014 campaign began.
 
13 minutes in, Dayton’s Nicole Waters scored their only goal of the first half. Down early, Bianca Brinson knotted things up with seven minutes remaining.
