• I mentioned Kyler Murray as playing a big-time role in Christian Kirk choosing A&M over a host of national powers and two home-state programs, but another Aggie quarterback who gets credit for a huge assist is freshman signal-caller Kyle Allen. Allen's close friendship with Kirk has been well documented and the Desert Mountain HS product went out of his way to attend Kirk's playoff game during the Thanksgiving break, something that really registered with the five-star receiver.
