Ahead-of-schedule Aggies still have plenty of recruiting work to do

The Aggies currently sit with 27 commitments, where they hit on quality and addressed key needs in the 2026 class. Mike Elko’s staff has shown they are always on the hunt for intriguing prospects, and now, they will continue to evaluate, especially up front in the trenches.

To say Mike Elko and his staff have been busy on the recruiting trail this summer would be an understatement.

The Aggies currently sit with 27 commitments — the most commitments at this time of the recruiting cycle in the last decade. The classes 2019, 2024 and 2025 come second, third and fourth with 22, 21 and 20 commits, respectively, so it is safe to say the Ags are a bit ahead of schedule.

It is not just about numbers, though.
