Anyone would rather throw a punch than take one.

That’s why the anticipation and excitement that surrounds Texas A&M Defensive Coordinator John Chavis’ style of aggressive defense, especially on the line, is understandable.

“They’ve (defensive linemen) learned a more attacking style and I think they’ve enjoyed it,” Chavis said during spring practice. “It gives them opportunities to really get off the ball.
