Revisionist History: Will doubt fuel the Aggies again?

What does the 2015 Texas A&M football team have in common with its 1967, 1985 and 2012 counterparts? That it will enter the season unranked. But, stars from each of those teams note, the similarities may not stop there when all is said and done.

Don’t count on an Aggie winning the Heisman Trophy.

Yet, the 2015 Texas A&M football season could be very similar to the 1967 campaign when Bear Bryant embraced Gene Stallings after A&M’s Cotton Bowl victory over Alabama.

It could also be like ’85 when cotton rained down on Kyle Field in celebration of a 42-10 victory over Texas that clinched the Southwest Conference championship and another Cotton Bowl berth.
