The Roadblock: Turnover-plagued Aggies fall short against Alabama

The frustrating part of Texas A&M's loss to Alabama had less to do with the Crimson Tide than it did the Aggies essentially beating themselves. High hopes are still attainable, but a gut check — and a solid amount of polish — is necessary.

In a solemn postgame interview, Germain Ifedi, Texas A&M’s junior offensive tackle, waxed philosophical and offered some words of wisdom.

He reminded that in 60 minutes of playing time against an elite opponent like Alabama there are going to be a moments of adversity.

“You’ve got to roll with the punches,” Ifedi said.

That’s indeed true. But the problem on Saturday was the Aggies were punch-drunk from haymakers they delivered to themselves.
