Texas A&M left tackle Avery Gennesy prepped for demanding SEC slate

Gennesy was one of the best components of the Aggie offensive line last season, but he doesn't think he played well enough. Going into this season, A&M's left tackle is focused on improving every phase of his game, something that he hopes infects the other Aggie linemen.

Avery Gennesy is focused.

The Texas A&M senior offensive tackle is focused on improving. Therefore, he’s focusing on details. He’s focusing on being a leader. He’s putting all his focus on the upcoming football season.

He’s not, however, focusing on next year’s NFL draft, even though he could become the fifth straight A&M tackle to be selected in the first round.

“I’m not really focused on that,” said Gennesy, a 6-5, 310-pounder with nimble feet and a long reach.
