At the beginning of the year, we might have said that this game would be a momentum game for us: on the road, right about in the middle of the season, getting close to November (scary, I know) and, at least entering the year, Mississippi State was expected to be a strong SEC squad. Whether we were 5-2 or 2-5 at this point, I think everyone would agree that this game would be able to help determine momentum for the rest of the season.

Now, the narrative has changed.
