Opportunistic plays on defense, special teams lead Aggies to win over Ole Miss

The Aggies struggled to move the football for most of the night against Ole Miss, but big plays on defense and special teams kept the Rebels from pulling away. With the win, Texas A&M improves to 2-2 in SEC play.

Most of Saturday night the lights of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium reflected off a smokey fog which hovered over the playing surface.

That scene was wholly appropriate for Texas A&M, who seemingly needed smoke and mirrors to capture a 24-17 Southeastern Conference football victory over Ole Miss.

Nothing comes ever comes easy for the Aggies in Oxford. Johnny Manziel had to lead a furious rally for an unlikely victory in 2012. Josh Lambo clinched a victory with a last-play field goal in 2013.
