It's adjustment season in college football as coaches face the unfamiliar challenge of losing spring practices. Both long-tenured staffs and new hires eager to install new systems are making contingency plans with no idea whether they'll get the practice time back.

Tom Allen wrapped up Indiana’s spring football practice on the morning of March 12 knowing full well he might not see his players for quite some time.

Technically, it would be a week; he was sending them off to spring break.
